Coconut Cream Rum Cocktail

Most cocktails have a thin, watery consistency, juice-like. But this Coconut Cream Rum Cocktail is like a cocktail, coconut milkshake! Sounds weird, but so so tasty. With the flavours of fruit and coconut, a kick of rum and nutmeg, this cocktail is a heavy, filling and tasty at the same time.

This drink is my favourite to sip while I’m on the beach. Almost like a pina colada, this drink is tastier and more low maintenance. No blender required, just a good shake and there you have it. For coconut lovers like myself, this Coconut Cream Rum Cocktail is both cooling, refreshing and filling, almost like a meal, but with a smooth kick of rum.

In this Coconut Cream Rum Cocktail, we added pineapples and orange juice, but you’re free to experiment with other fruits to your liking. This drink is like a pina colada with a twist and there’s no way you won’t like it.

Ingredients

  • 2 shot rum
  • 45ml pineapple-orange juice
  • 30ml creme de coconut
  • ice
  • nutmeg
  • toasted coconut, optional for garnish

Directions

Add 2 shots of rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, coconut cream and ice and shake well until fully blended, creamy and thick. Ga

Garnish with pineapple slices, sprinkle of nutmeg and coconut shavings (optional) and enjoy!

Our suggestion – For the garnish, coat pineapple slices in butter like in our Classic Pineapple Margarita recipe.
