Tequila Accompaniment Sangrita

Cocktails never need a chaser (almost always) but shots do. Most times, depending on how brave one is. Tequila shots are something one must try in their young days. But what many people don’t know is that this Tequila Accompaniment Sangrita is a non alcoholic tequila chaser,
that highlights tequila’s crisp acidity and cleanses the palate between each peppery sip.

Since most bars don’t serve this Tequila Accompaniment Sangrita, we decided to make it ourselves and share the recipe. This is a brilliant creation that dates back to the 1920s. If you’re truly a tequila fan, in a few nooks and crannies this drink may be found, in a vintage bar perhaps.

So get the ingredients listed, and make this beauty as fast as you can. Serve it with a line of Tequila shots for your friends, and this will be the last time anyone has Tequila without a Sangrita.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml ounces tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Tabasco
  • 1/3 teaspoon of horseradish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice and mix well. Once ready, store in the refigerator for 2 days and let it sit until the flavours completely mix. Once cooled, serve with tequila shots as per requirement, and serve the Tequila Accompaniment Sangrita in a shot glass as well along with the tequila shot seperately on the side in another glass.

Serve chilled, and don’t forget to share our recipe on facebook. Do give us your valuable feedback.
