Paloma Cocktail

For this recipe, we’re showing you how to make a classic Paloma cocktail. Palomas are a traditional Mexican drink with the main ingredients being grapefruit and of course, tequila. It’s not exactly known when the Paloma was created. Though, it’s speculated that this refreshing summery drink is from the 1800s. This interesting, bespoke and yummy drink is unlike any other. So much so, that it is so rare to find in a place like India!

There are a few ways to make a classic Paloma recipe, but our favourite way is using a little grapefruit juice, along with lime and tequila. The Paloma cocktail is gorgeous looking with a peach-pink hue to it. It’s great for afternoon brunches or even sundowners.

This basic cocktail drink requires a few ingredients, so gather them and get bartending NOW!

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • ¼ cup fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • ¼ cup club soda

Directions

Pour some salt on a plate. Rub half of the rim of a highball glass with grapefruit wedge/juice; dip rim of glass in salt. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sugar in glass; stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in tequila, add ice, and top off with club soda. Garnish with grapefruit wedge. Cheers!
