Late Marriage – why it’s OKAY and shouldn’t be taboo

Ever wondered why marriage is so important? especially in our society? It’s because we need partners. We, as humans look for companionship more than anything – which is why, Marriage at any age should be acceptable. But it isn’t. Why? Celebrities do it, and so do many other worldwide. What’s stopping us and why is Late Marriage such a big taboo?

Married people are both responsible for and responsible to another human being, and both halves of that dynamic lead the married to live more responsible, fruitful, and satisfying lives. Marriage is a transformative act, changing the way two people look at each other, in the future, and at their roles in society at any age.

Someone we all know and love – George Clooney (The former most famous bachelor) – found love relatively late – at 54 years old, and he’s living his life! Though late, it’s still OKAY.

Why marriage? Why not only love?

The point of these interesting love stories is that – at any age – even old age – love is important. In many cultures, it is considered a taboo, but we like to say “better late than never” for a reason! Finding a partner may be just as important as taking care of your mental health. We need a friend from time to time. We all need someone, and even if it isn’t for marriage, maybe just for a lifetime of companionship. As a matter of fact, it has even been scientifically proven that people who live with their significant others and are in love – live longer and happier lives.

So forget about the taboos – it’s never too late. Love is the answer to all solutions. (and marriage is the answer to a great insurance plan)

Cheers!
