Since the Met Gala is obviously not going to be held this year, we have yet to comment on the Best Met Gala Looks from last year. The Met Gala is an exclusive, invitation-only event for which there’s a waiting list. Last year – the Met Gala 2019 theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion.
Our favorite celebrities tried their best to impress, and needless to say; they did. The Best Met Gala Looks – with feathers, flounces and sparkle galore – these outfits deserve to be shone upon one more time!
Jared Leto
Inspired by the Gucci runway, Jared Leto carried his own head to the Met Gala and shocked everyone. His silk red cape and dress with chunky silver-diamond was incomplete without his main accessory – his head!
Kylie Jenner
King Kylie always steals the show with her over-the-top outfits and always manages to look the best. But did her costume even match the theme of the night? Who knows! She still looked fabulous. Wearing Versace – she really stood out in this Ostrich feather number. Wow!
Billy Porter
Billy Porter shone like the sun when he made his entry as Sun God by The Blonds. Inspired by ancient Egypt, this was one of the most extravagant entries into the Met Gala. With six shirtless men all dressed in gold – this entry is one for the books.
Dua Lipa
UK Singer and pop sensation Dua Lipa shook the paparazzi in this dress with hues of blue. Designed by Atelier Versace, this look deserves all the attention it can get! With a dramatic gown and an even more dramatic hairdo, this look is perfect for the Met Gala evening.
Cardi B
If anyone had to steal the show, it would be Cardi B. Wearing an elaborate Thom Browne gown, it took more than 2,000 hours to create. The oxblood custom gown was made from tulle and silk organza and was filled with down. It was also decorated with 30,000 burned and dyed coque feathers. Woah!
