Just like her younger sister Kylie Jenner’s brand Kylie Skin donated hand sanitizers, sister Kim followed and decided to sell nude face masks. But how is Kim Kardashian Branded RACIST? Kim not only decided to compete with Kylie, but she was also making a profit while doing so. She launched these nude face masks in 5 shades, the darkest being black – for dark skin toned people.
Soon after, a feud broke out on Twitter – and everyone started questioning the darkest color for the masks. Was black an appropriate color to sell? Or was she just being a racist? The darkest color should have been dark brown instead of black – and people were not happy.
Kim K tweeted this image with models wearing her face masks, in the colours Sand, Sienna and Onyx being the darkest – black. However, while Kim only wanted to do some good in the world – she isn’t always liked.
Twitter user @MarceyLindsey wasn’t shy of giving her opinion. Here’s what she said –
Kim Kardashian branded racist for stating that the masks come in ‘shades of nudes’. A dark-skinned model was photographed wearing a black face mask – not nude. After much commotion, Kim Kardashian West has proved that “No Publicity is Bad Publicity” as her masks sold out in less than 30 minutes.
Another hateful tweet in regard to this racist(?) allegation. However, Kylie Jenner loves the brand and has a stock full of Skims Solutionwear piled up in her dresser.
