Candy? Vodka? TOGETHER?
Yup. You heard that right. You can prepare this interesting drink that takes you back to your childhood, in adulthood. Ever wonder why fun drinks for sweet tooths like us aren’t sold? Me too. But I’m done waiting, done wondering. It’s time we shared this recepie with you all, cause once you make this cocktail, there’s no going back. Millenials you hear me? This one’s for you.
Ingredients to make Skittles Infused Vodka Cocktail
- One 1.75 liter bottle of moderate-good quality vodka
- Five 250 ml flasks or bottles
- 453 grams Skittles candy.
- Five empty plastic water bottles
- A funnel
- Bowls for separating the Skittles into flavors
- A measuring cup
- Cheesecloth and coffee filters.
Preparation
- Separate the skittles into bowls, each of different flavour.
- Put them in the empty bottles
- Pour vodka over skittles in said bottles
- SHAKE WELL. and I mean really, really well.
- Strain candy using cheesecloth/coffee filters
- Freeze overnight
- Serve chilled. Cheers!
Our tip – This drink, when made is very sweet as it is. Make a luscious cocktail by adding some Ginger Ale, Sprite, or just plainol soda, kick back and relax, bring back conversations about your school days.
Alternatives
Feel like it’s too much work? Try the same process using Jolly Rancher Candy. Takes less than half the time to prepare as Skittles infused Vodka, but just as delicious. Another party fave is Gummy Bear Vodka! Soak the gummy candy in a bowl of vodka. Let it chill in the fridge for a day or two until fully soaked. Enjoy!
