Kennedy’s hosting exhibit of art from Marlborough students

For the next several months, Kennedy’s Restaurant and Pub, located on Maple Street in Marlborough, is offering patrons something special – an art exhibit featuring over three dozen pieces from the permanent collection of Marlborough Public Schools. This collection graces the walls of the main floor as well as the loft upstairs.

The restaurant’s initiative to host this exhibit is viewed as a commendable way to give back to the community, noted Sharon Decker from Kennedy’s, one of the organizers of the exhibit. The showcase commenced on January 24 with a reception, attended by MPS students and arts teachers.

The exhibit aims to provide insight into the artistic achievements of students in Marlborough Public Schools. Dina Martinelli, an art teacher at Whitcomb Middle School, expressed her admiration, stating, “This is incredible. This shows what the kids are doing in school.”

Sharon Decker mentioned that the current exhibit will remain on display for three months, with plans to continually refresh the artwork by rotating pieces from different schools in the city. This ongoing exhibition creates a dynamic space that allows the community to appreciate and celebrate the artistic endeavors of local students.
