Raspberry Gin Ginger Cocktail

This pink, pretty and delicious Raspberry Gin Ginger Cocktail is a party must. If you’re a fan of cocktails, this one is hard to miss and is an even better tasting with a friend. This flirty cocktail will get you in the mood and give you a nice buzz without actually tasting like alcohol. (I mean, isn’t that the best part about cocktails?)

But anyway, I feel like raspberries are really getting left out in most of our cocktail recipes so I decided to experiment with it last weekend, and it turned out into something so fab I just had to share it for the coming weekend so you all can get lit this Friday night, morning, afternoon or evening. Whatever time you feel like!

This drink is super easy to make and the key ingredient are raspberries. Since they aren’t wildly available in India, you can get them frozen at almost all convenience stores like Nature’s Basket and bigbasket.com. Freeze the raspberries prior to making this drink, and let’s get started.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Gin (2 shots)
  • 15-30 ml Raspberry Syrup
  • 15 ml Ginger Syrup
  • 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Club Soda

Directions

For the Rasberry Syrup

Muddle frozen raspberries and sugar syrup together in a bowl and strain. Wait for a few hours, refrigirate and strain once again before using.

For the Ginger Syrup

Peel the ginger root with a vegetable peeler, and cut into thin rounds. Add sugar and water to a boil over medium-high heat with the sliced ginger and bring the mixture back up to a simmer. Remove from heat and allow to steep for at least 30 minutes. Strain syrup through fine mesh and discard ginger. Let it cool, refrigerate and then use.

For the drink (finally) –

Add the gin, raspberry syrup, ginger syrup and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker and shake well with ice. Add to a tall glass and top with club soda and a single raspberry.

Serve chilled, and don’t forget to share our recipe on facebook. Do give us your valuable feedback, and vodka lovers can click here to browse our vodka selection instead of adding gin if that’s what you like. We make sure there are choices for all palates. Drink responisbly!
